The Control Room by Turnipfarmer

Bermondsey Underground Station, London, England – http://bit.ly/1FZgNen

Another awesome station on the London Underground network and worth a visit if your like me and you enjoy a good Underground station.

I just like the way the light beams in through essentially what is a big skylight, gives Bermondsey a cavernous feel the the station and it certainly feels like that when your there.

Its a station I do intend to revisit on my next trip to London as I have a few new ideas I could try out, whether they will work or not is a different matter.

I am not sure if it was best to go with this crop with the large amount of black on the edges or do you think I should have gone for a square crop? I just couldn’t decide and felt this worked best.

Half-Life (Redux) by Turnipfarmer

Passeig de Gràcia Metro Station, Barcelona, Spain – http://ift.tt/V5qrF7

One to add to my ‘Conceptual Fabrication’ architectural series and actually an image that I took couple of years ago from my trip to Barcelona.

Barcelona is such a wonderful city and really enjoyed my stay there, I had limited time on the their metro to get some photos but did get a few.

This is actually a reworked photo, I just never was happy with the original and this tidier version really works for me compared to the original.

I feel that there is something quite sinister and eerie about this shot, I can’t quite put my finger on what it is but I hope you enjoy the photo.

Fun House by Turnipfarmer

1 Bishops Square, London, England – http://ift.tt/V5qrF7

I really can’t wait for Open House London, its one of the photographing highlights of the year for me and I always enjoy looking at new buildings.

This is a photo from one such building, 1 Bishops Square. Its art installation is pretty amazing and well worth a visit if your doing Open House this year and if its in this years program.

I have pre-ordered my guide ready for delivery in August, should be interesting to see whats in there. I think some Cross Rail stations might be one of the main locations this year although not 100% sure, suppose I have to just wait and see.

Waterloo Underground Station, London, England – http://ift.tt/V5qrF7

An old photo this one but one to add to my ‘Conception Fabrication’ architectural series. I quite like the interesting shapes and the face at the end of the tunnel of this fabrication that I have done. Its such aa good way to edit a photo that you would not have edited via conventional means, I have probably got enough now to put into a gallery which I will do in due course.

You may have noticed that I have decided to tidy up and streamline my description on my flickr uploads as I feel sometimes the story of my photo can be lost within all the other information I have provided, do you agree or did you prefer the old way?

Fear not, don’t worry my little story behind each photo will remain as I know a lot of you like this part of my photos and of course I enjoy this part the most!

Let me know what you think and if you want me to go back to the old way.

The View from my Favourite Armchair by Turnipfarmer

Bank-Monument Underground Station, London, England – http://bit.ly/1FZgNen

Busy weekend just gone for me. On Saturday I was busy photographing a wedding with fellow Mark Hepples, got some good photos too and also gave me the chance to try out the awesome Sony A7S which we both hired out! May share a couple of photos with you all sometime.

Anyway, this is an old photo and reworked photo. One of my favourite stations on the London Underground network to photograph although I am sure people who use it on a daily basis for commuting would probably disagree with me as it does get horrendously busy at peak times and often platforms have to be closed off until crowding eases!

Luckily I got a quiet day when I took this photo, something that doesn’t happen very often. I am planning on going down to London this week sometime all being well and looking forward to getting some photos of the new tunnel at Canary Wharf Crossrail station and also at the same time get my new medium format Film camera serviced whilst I down there too.

I hope you are all having a stunning Monday.
