SAIL – Fireworks by SaWagner1

SAIL 2015 in Bremerhaven, Germany
Last night – a spectacular firework display at the SAIL 2015 in Bremerhaven. As a backdrop served the Russian training ship for sailing Sedov. Unfortunately, it was very hazy.
Gestern Abend – ein spektakuläres Feuerwerk anlässlich der SAIL 2015 in Bremerhaven.
Als Kulisse diente das russische Segelschulfschiff SEDOV. Leider war es sehr diesig.

Glass Canyons by JonathanDanker

Raffles Place, Singapore

I remember shooting this composition a few years back but did not have the proper equipment to create good work.

Had the chance to go back and re do it again with a vengeance.

The tilt shift worked amazing here and I had no trouble what so ever to get exactly what I wanted.

Canon 5d Mk 3 | Canon 17mm TS-E f4L | ISO 160 | f 11.0 | focal length 17mm (3 tile vertical shift 4 exposure digital blend vertorama)

Almost there, An old boat reaching tomorrow land by stem

Dubai- UAE
The contrast between this old transportation mean and the glorious cityscape could tell you a lot about Dubai story.
Sea was always the hope of this desert-surrounded city; since the pearl age through offshore oil and freezone international trade till reaching current days where controlling the seashore and creating islands and cannels is one of the city features.
Although it is far away from there now, Dubai is still trying to be connected to its heritage, from its local’s customs to the shape of that sail-like building to the still alive old habits of its people such as their passion of desert, houses and boating.

Burj al-Arab by Cybjorg

The iconic, sail-shaped Burj al-Arab is known as the “world’s only 7 star hotel.” Given that there is no official hotel rating greater than 5 stars, the title seems to be a bit of a marketing ploy. Nevertheless, the hotel is extremely opulent and is one of the most expensive hotels in the world. At 322 m (1,056 ft), the Burj al-Arab is the third tallest hotel in the world.
