Girona (Spanish name:Gerona) is a Spanish town in the northeast of Catalonia. It is the capital of the province of Girona and the Gironès Comarca.
Girona lies at the confluence of four rivers Onyar, Ter, Güell and Galligants.
L’Hemisfèric (span. El Hemisférico) is the cultural building, planetarium and cinema in the City of Arts and Sciences in Valencia, Spain.
The building was designed by Santiago Calatrava and opened on 16 April 1998 as the first building of the City of Arts and Sciences in dried-out riverbed of the Turia.
The architect designed the building as a colossal human eye – the eye of wisdom, which is intended to symbolize the audiovisual experience of visitors when viewing the demonstrations.
The tower looks with his dazzling, 16,000 m² facade like a water fountain, with the beginning of darker blue loses up toward the tip in a white.
