I SIMPLY WATED TO GET A NIGHTSCAPE OF CHICAGO’S ICONIC MAGNIFICENT MILE. FROM THIS PERSPECTIVE I WAS ABLE TO ALSO CAPTURE A FEW FAMOUS LANDMARKS. THE WATER TOWER AND THE HANCOCK BOTH SHOW NICELY.
I WAS VISITING CHICAGO, FOLLOWING THE NOTRE DAME FOOTBALL GAME, AND WANTED TO TO PHOTOGRAPH SOME OF THE ARCHITECTURE. THIS IS PART OF THE WRIGLEY BUILDING AND A BIT OF THE TRUMP. THE ANGLE ALSO CAPTURES SOME OF THE PEOPLE WALKING ON MICHIGAN AVENUE.
Cloud Gate, my introductory image here on 500px. This image was made just before sunrise in Millennium Park. Anish Kapoor’s Cloud Gate, better known as “The Bean” reflects the Michigan Avenue skyline behind me as I look toward sunrise over Lake Michigan beyond.
It was a pleasure to have the entire park to myself before it opened that day. This sculpture is regularly surrounded by throngs of tourists and curious locals watching their reflections distort as they walk around and under the sculpture.
