The Flavian Amphietheatre in Pozzuoli, just outside of Naples, is the third largest Roman amphitheatre in Italy. Here, you are well off the tourist grid. Enjoy walking around the remarkably preserved inner structure with no crowds to content with.
Taken last year during my Italy trip. I arrived at the Colosseum very early in the morning trying to capture some sunrise light over the architecture before the crowds arrived. I was lucky to have some serious stormy clouds right as the sun was rising. I had to take shelter quickly and dry out my lenses right afterward.. but all worth the effort 🙂
