The classic Henge in all its glory. A non-destructive re-edit of a previous image I’ve posted. I have neen playing with a few new post processing techniques which I think are making a difference to the final image quality.

Stonehenge by natezeman

Stonehenge is one of the most recognizeable sites in all of the world, but very little is actually known about the 4,000 year old structure, or the people who built it. The neolithic builders left behind no written records of why or how they constructed the great stone circle. Everything we do know about Stonehenge today comes from the numerous scientific studies and archeological excavations that have taken place over the years. These studies have yielded a wealth of information and clues about the mysterious structure, but still no single theory has been accepted to explain Stonehenge. It may have been a place of worship, an ancient burial ground, a center for healing or possibly an astronomical calculator. The theories are many and ever-changing. For me, the mystery of Stonehenge is what makes it so appealing, and a true wonder of the world.
