just past the sunset i spent the nite out with my friend emil who showed me the big apple last sunday
i always wanted to shoot this spot – looking over to manhatten from brooklyn .. of course i wanted to do some lightpainting but it was way to bright at this spot .. lots of big lanterns right behind me at the boardwalk thing … any how very cool spot!
It was just luck, i took a couple photos and tried to get some cars in a good position. Than i saw this toddler “coming”. The mother parked the buggy right in front of me and first i thought, “seriously ?!?! I´m taking pictures right now” – at home i found this great momemt. It looks like, this young boy? is totally relaxed watching the cars driving at this unbelievable loud place!
Lambrate is a quite important suburban Milan district. Its bus & train station is a crowded melting pot. In this long exposition shot I tried to convey the concept of everyday recurring journey.
