Stockholm Skanskvarn IR Close-Up by mixbsd

Close-up 720nm IR shot of Skanskvarn’s windmill sails.

This windmill is actually a restaurant and is located between Stockholm’s Mårtensdal and Gullmarsplan T-Bana stations.

The reflected infrared light off of the wooden sails makes for a nice contrast against the dark sky.

Rådhuset by kaizross

Searching for the most awesome places to shoot this one came my way. There is composition elements great texture and uniqueness in this location that I’m very drawn to. Rådhuset is a metro-station that is decorated considering the natural look of the location. Thank you goes to Alexander Dragunov (500px.com/adrag) and Elia Locardi (http://bit.ly/1MVKGyu) for the inspiration to go and see that place for myself.

Stairs to the Heaven by radovan77

Stockholm subway T-Centralen station. The architecture itself is equally striking. The T-Centralen station resembles a blue and white cavern, with walls of sprayed concrete made to imitate rock face rather than covering up the shape of the tunnel. Station designed by Per Olof Ultvedt in 1975.

Traveling over the rainbow by radovan77

Traveling on a city’s subway system is never expected to be an exciting experience. But this could not be farther from the truth in the Swedish capital Stockholm, where artists have transformed the city’s subway into a gigantic kaleidoscopic art exhibition. Stadion station – this one is cave-like and has vivid blue color with rainbow paint.

Inferno by radovan77

So I decided once again to make something new… Here is the first photo of my “subway collection”:
Stockholm subway – Solna centrum station stands out for its cavernous, bright red ceiling that seems to “weigh down” on the platform. So I was there late night and deep in the bowels of Stockholm (tunnelbana) subway system… setting up to take this shot of the station 🙂
