Some crazy Russians actually climbed this tower before it was open. I only could take pictures from down below. It’s impressive either way!
The Shanghai Tower is a megatall skyscraper in Pudong, Shanghai. Designed by Gensler and owned by a consortium of Chinese state-owned companies, it was completed just recently.
It’s second tallest in the world with 128 floors and a total height of 632 m.
I think it represents a new world babylon, a thrive of humanity in Asia to build the tallest and highest structures to be admired by the civilization.
My photograph from the 500px photowalk in Shanghai on 26th Sept
I was really lucky to get this cloud setting. Shot at 5.30am in the morning. Thanks to 500px for arranging this photowalk!
The view from the tallest observation platform in the world, opening in Winter 2015 – the Shanghai Tower.
At 632m, while the top may be lower than Dubai’s Burj Khalifa, this is currently the highest building floor the public can access on earth and looks down upon two other mega-tall skyscrapers, the Jin Mao Tower (left) at 420m and the SWFC (right) at 492m high.
