Can Negre was commissioned by the rich lawyer Pere Negre i Jover enlisting the architect Josep Maria Jujol in 1915 to rehabilitate rehabilitar a country house dating from 1680. Jujol, famous in Sant Joan Despí for having built the la Creu tower, decided to completely transform the building. So, loyal to the premises of Modernism, he created a magical, Baroque and imaginative atmosphere to both the inside and outside of the building.
The Mausoleum of Hadrian, usually known as Castel Sant’Angelo (English: Castle of the Holy Angel), is a towering cylindrical building in Parco Adriano, Rome, Italy. It was initially commissioned by the Roman Emperor Hadrian as a mausoleum for himself and his family. The building was later used by the popes as a fortress and castle, and is now a museum. The Castel was once the tallest building in Rome.
