Good morning, Piran! by Gitta

Piran is the old port city in Slovenian Istra. The city is bilingual, Italian and Slovenian. Some of the most fascinating sites in Piran include Tartini Square, the Town Palace, the Tartini Monument, Tartini House, special stone columns for flags, the Court Palace, the May 1 Square, also known as the Old Square, and the old town wall, composed of three walls from different periods in time. In the city center is the Aquarium which was established in 1964. The Promenade is along the coast and offers many restaurants with a wide variety of local foods and drinks.

Old City, Modern Lights by BrandonDonnelly1

This is a pretty well known shot in the Bavarian town of Rothenburg ob der Tauber. This is a fairly quiet street however busy enough to make it difficult to get a long exposure shot without a car driving past. At first I wasn’t a fan of the light trails in this shot, but I think it works. It shows something modern in what otherwise is a very old town.
