The Little Venice Corner in Bruges by JacobSurland

Bruges is a fairytale medieval city worth a visit. The movie ‘In Bruges’ got my attention on the city, and I made a one night stop there, on the way to France. We stayed at the most charming old renaissance hotel right in the center, and it was a perfect fit, with the city, capital of chocolates.

Venezian Canal by JacobSurland

We got up early to get some sunrise shots of Venice, and on our way to our Sunrise Spot, we took some shots like this one from the backside of Doná Palace and Hotel Colombina. There is quite a lot traffic during the day because this is the canal that leads under the Bridge of Sighs. Both taxi boats and gondolas go that way all day long. But at night, it is beautiful and quite.

London Tower Bridge and Blue River Thames by JacobSurland

Don’t worry, River Thames was just as muddy as ever. One of the reasons I love post-processing so much is because I can do whatever I like. I am not married to reality, like a documentarist. I am an artist. I process my photos until I get something I like. I don’t particularly like a muddy river, and the blue one looks much better. Photo by: Jacob Surland, http://ift.tt/Hp7OpA
