It has been said that time heals all wounds. I don’t agree. The wounds remain. Time – the mind, protecting its sanity – covers them with some scar tissue and the pain lessens, but it is never gone.
This quote truly sums up my feelings about this church. On one hand it is a beautiful church, but it is also a reminder of things that I have lost and can’t get back. I love it and find pain at the same time.
I normally wouldn’t post a mid-day picture, but the architecture and angles appear to highlight to me. This is the side entrance.
The promises of this world are, for the most part, vain phantoms; and to confide in one’s self, and become something of worth and value is the best and safest course.
