I took this shot last month in Paris when went there for my wedding. Paris is a very romantic city and there are lots of great bridges. This one was my favorite since I saw it in the web before I go there.
I went the place two hours before the sunset on the shooting day to find a nice spot. After taking a few test shots, I waited for the right time. I start to take series of exposures just after the bridge lamps lit. A few minutes later, I took I want when the blue hour started.
Post-process was not easy. I blended more than 10 exposures by using luminosity masks and luminosity selections for dynamic range, for some light effects and for focus stacking.
From an archaeological point of view, the terms, “Knossos,” and “palace,” are somewhat ambiguous. The palace was never just the residence of a monarch, although it contained rooms that might have been suitable for a royal family. Most of the structures, however, were designed to serve a civic, religious and economic center. The term palace complex is more accurate. In ancient times, Knossos was a town surrounding and including Kephala Hill. This hill was never an acropolis in the Greek sense. It had no steep heights, remained unfortified, and was not very high off the surrounding ground. These circumstances cannot necessarily be imputed to other Minoan palaces. Phaestos, contemporaneous with Knossos, was placed on a steep ridge, controlling access to the Mesara Plain from the sea, and was walled.
The Alhambra is a Nasrid “palace city”. It was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1984. It is certainly Granada’s most emblematic monument and one of the most visited in Spain. It consists of a defensive zone, the Alcazaba, together with others of a residential and formal state character, the Nasrid Palaces and, lastly, the palace, gardens and orchards of El Generalife. from Wiki
