Seen on the open monument day in the James Church (Jacobuskerk) in Enschede, Netherlands.
The Hooglandse church seen from within the Burcht in my hometown Leiden. The Burcht is one of the only structures of it’s kind left in the Netherlands. The first stone was laid in the 11th century and is situated at the point where the old en new Rhine meet in the city center.
This church dates Back to the year 1180
