Chauburji: A Monument That Withstood Time!!! by RiazSiddiki

Chauburji (what remains of it) stands aside the busiest road in Pakistan’s second most populous city Lahore…………….reminding us of the beautiful past………Built in 1646………..as a garden this structure is unique because of its minarets……….Unlike anywhere else, these minarets expand from the top.

Difficult to approach as a tourist location (because of haywire traffic) and clutter of city buildings…..hoardings…..shops…..traffic…….it was a challenge to shoot it in a way that somewhat showed its past glory……..I tried my bit……..and the wide angle helped……… ☺
