I was in the bay area for a wedding (a friend’s wedding; I don’t shoot weddings so don’t ask). The next morning I had time for one quick shoot. Heading out to Marin to shoot the Golden Gate would take too long. So I needed something I knew I could get to easily, set up and shoot at sunrise. I had taken a night shot of the Painted Ladies before, but was never really happy with it so I decided to do a reshoot.
They are a row of homes built at the end of the 19th century in the Victorian style. In the 1960s the they were painted by the owners in the vibrant colors they are now, and in the 1970s they were dubbed the Painted Ladies in a book by the same name.
It is amazing feeling that watching the sunrise at world’s most iconic landmark – Sydney Opera House, the view is always stunning.
This was taken at around 5:45 am in following weekend from previous shot, clear sky with long exposure.
Long exposure taken at around 5:50 in the morning, the first light has just break through from the east, creating beautiful skyline.
A Sydney ferry leaving circular quay starting her first sail of the day.
Blue sky, Blue sea on the harbour, Golden Sunrise, Iconic Opera House, What more could you ask.
