In a city where glorious churches are almost commonplace, Vienna’s Maria Treu Kirche can almost get lost in the shuffle — but this little baroque beauty definitely should not be missed!
If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a thousand times — always look up at the ceiling in Europe! 🙂 So often, the most incredible aspects of a church is the ceiling. Beautiful frescoes depicting ancient stories. Vienna’s Karlskirche is glorious from top to bottom, but the ceiling is definitely not to be missed.
The beautiful baroque St. Florian church in Linz, Austria, is one of my personal favorites. This particular ceiling panel is beautifully rendered, and this is precisely why I love Europe! Even the ceilings are works of art.
This is still, to this day, one of my all-time favorite cathedrals that I have personally come across. The details are almost overwhelming, everything about this church is positively stunning.
