Athllone,Ireland many cathedrals in the mist
In a city where glorious churches are almost commonplace, Vienna’s Maria Treu Kirche can almost get lost in the shuffle — but this little baroque beauty definitely should not be missed!
If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a thousand times — always look up at the ceiling in Europe! 🙂 So often, the most incredible aspects of a church is the ceiling. Beautiful frescoes depicting ancient stories. Vienna’s Karlskirche is glorious from top to bottom, but the ceiling is definitely not to be missed.
The beautiful baroque St. Florian church in Linz, Austria, is one of my personal favorites. This particular ceiling panel is beautifully rendered, and this is precisely why I love Europe! Even the ceilings are works of art.
I always love a good stained glass window! This one in the St. Joseph Church in San Jose, California, is so gorgeously colorful and detailed.
One very small and overlooked jewel of Innsbruck is the Landhauskapelle. The carvings here are just beautiful!
The beautiful St. Florian in Linz, Austria, is a lesser-known gem of a cathedral. I loved the detailing on this organ. It was absolutely gorgeous!
