Office towers bring an interesting contrast to a bird’s-eye view of the graceful lines of the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple in Singapore’s Chinatown area. There are several rows of lanterns on each side of the temple’s perimeter, actually taking their number to more than 1,000.
This (handheld) shot on Sunday night shows the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple in central Singapore, with colours in some windows highlighting its beautiful architecture. Hundreds of lanterns and bunches of artificial flowers line the entire perimeter of the temple and the late-night lighting elongates the shadows of some pedestrians.
This (hand-held) shot was taken this evening, showing the skyscrapers of Singapore’s business district as the backdrop to the beautiful Buddha Tooth Relic Temple. The colourful row of identical windows in the bottom left-hand corner are the second and third storeys of the famous colonial-era “shophouses” in Chinatown.
