One percent of the casino’s gross gaming revenue is deposited in the Jupiters Casino Community Benefit Fund. This fund supports non-profit community-based groups and is administered by the Government of Queensland.
The casino and hotel occupy two of Australia’s grandest heritage buildings, the Treasury Building, and the nearby Lands Administration Building. The buildings are separated by Queens Gardens. A 700-vehicle car park is located beneath the park.
An early 19th century building with Edwardian-Baroque exterior designs and ornate colonnades, striking sandstone walls and six-story atrium, the historic Treasury Building houses a three-level gaming emporium of 80 gaming tables and over 1,300 gaming machines, and was opened refurbished as the Treasury Casino in April 1995. The hotel section of the Conrad Treasury Casino is housed in the former Lands Administration Building.
There are also function rooms, ranging from early 19th century decor to modern business meeting rooms.
So I decided to head into Brisbane city to shoot the StoryBridge from Wilsons Outlook, New Farm. Knowing full well that it was a clear morning, but I’ve always liked the city skyline from here with clear skies, something soothing and peaceful about it.
This image isn’t actually what I went there for but I have fallen in love with the colours!!
This just has basic Lightroom adjustment, merged to a panorama in LR and sharpening/resized in Photoshop.
My goal originally was to capture the city as the sun was to peak over from the east and light the buildings up that stunning golden. I do have those images to share later.
This however will have to do for now like emoticon And i’m really excited to start turning out some quality images!!!
