Cathédrale Saint-Nazaire-et-Saint-Celse de Béziers by JohannesOehl

Béziers Cathedral was built in middle of 13th century and has different architecture styles: some Roman bows, gothic bows and baroque choir. The building is 50m long, 33m wide and 32m high. Outside is a tower which is 48m high. The cathedral is the landmark of Béziers.
This is my last photo I am uploading from my vacation in France. Tomorrow we will drive home to Germany.

Jardin des plantes de Montpellier by JohannesOehl

Jardin des plantes de Montpellier is a 4,5ha historical botanical garden and arboretum. The garden was established 1653 by a letter patent of King Henri IV. It is France’s oldest botanical garden. The garden was expanded in the 19th century. It’s orangery was designed by Claude-Mathieu Delagardette (1762805) and completed in 1804.

Aqueduc de Saint-Clément by JohannesOehl

This 880m long aqueduct is brand new compared to the Roman aquaeducts: It was bult 1772 and is filling a water reservoir (Chateau dau) for fountains and public water intakes. Architects were Henri Pitot, Donnat and Jean Antoine Giral.
