New York City, NY
The Brooklyn Bridge (officially, in English, New York and Brooklyn Bridge, “Bridge of New York and Brooklyn”) is a bridge in the city of New York, considered one of the oldest suspension bridges in the United States, with extension 1 834 m. It is located on the East River, connecting the districts (boroughs) of Manhattan and Brooklyn.
To be completed was the world’s largest suspension bridge, and the first to be used cables. It was the first steel suspension bridge in the world and its huge support towers were once the tallest structures of the entire city of New York.
