This creative campaign had people in the Netherlands uploading videos of them with an Opel car to try and get enough views to purchase one

European car brand Opel collaborated with advertising agency JWT Amsterdam to come up with a Pay With Views campaign where drivers in the Netherlands uploaded videos of them interacting with or driving one of Opel’s vehicles. If the video received a certain amount of views, the person who uploaded it could use those views to purchase a car from Opel. This creative campaign targeted millennials as many have a technical talent to turn their experience into a digital impression and share it with a large audience. Not every video focused on driving an Opel, some featured a comedy sketch in the car and a concert with the car as an instrument. The first winner of this campaign was Yuri Schuurkes, who was able to get 4.1 million views on his video.

With the Pay With Views campaign a success in the Netherlands, Opel wants to bring it to the rest of Europe.
