Warby Parker added a new feature to its mobile app for Apple users to optimize the facial mapping capabilities of the iPhone X

Not every Apple customer knew how they would feel about the iPhone X having the capacity for facial mapping, a new feature that lets the iPhone owner unlock their phone using their face. Some customers saw it as an invasion of privacy. Warby Parker wanted to take advantage of the technology by adding it to their app, Glasses by Warby Parker.

This new feature is designed to use the iPhone X’s facial mapping to pair a user up with the most ideal pair of glasses based on the shape of their face. All of the recommended glasses come in a variety of colors. The next step in Warby Parker’s app could have customers using augmented reality to try on any of the recommended glasses virtually prior to making a purchase.
