Prime Reload is a new feature that gives members additional credit when they connect a debit account directly to their Amazon account

Amazon Prime members have a decision to make with Amazon’s newest feature, Prime Reload. The program gives Prime members additional Amazon credit to use at their leisure in exchange for connecting their debit cards—instead of credit cards—to their Prime accounts.

To do so, a Prime member must connect their debit card information, including bank account and routing information, to their Amazon account. This allows the member to transfer funds directly to Amazon to pay for things they want to purchase on the website. Amazon provides participating members with a 2% bonus on the amount of money transferred to the account to use exclusively on the site. Amazon, in turn, saves money on credit card processing fees.

All funds loaded to Amazon stay there, so Prime members who use the Prime Reload program must be sure they want to add the money before they transfer it.
