Palace of Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich – the wooden imperial palace, built in the suburban village of Kolomenskoye in the second half of the XVII century.It is a very complex system of separate wooden buildings, connected by transitions.
In 1767 it was decided to dismantle the Palace because of the fact that the fall in steel stairs and roofs.
The present building (2010) is the layout of the Palace of Alexey Mikhailovich in full size. Construction was carried out according to drawings made at the behest of Catherine II. However, the new structure is not entirely wood: all designs are monolithic, concrete, then covered with logs. Orientation Orientation is also not preserved – layout has been rotated about a vertical axis by 90 degrees, which completely disrupted the sacred meaning of the original structure.
