Purposeful powerful partnerships leverage obvious value for all participants. Key is to success is a clearly identified and mutually agreed upon strong sweet spot of shared interest and goal. Oddly enough many organizations do not get sufficiently specific on those two intertwined traits before they commit time, resources — and their reputation to the project.
As Morten Hanson wrote, “Bad collaboration is worse than no collaboration.” Yet a partnership can resonate with many more people and organizations when all partners are explicit about why and how they’ll participate:
